Leawood Police have arrested Jace Christian Hanson, a Kansas City man, for intentionally contaminating food at a local restaurant. The contamination is believed to have been ongoing for nearly a month. Hanson was arrested after an outside tip led police to the Hereford House restaurant, where the tampering occurred. The nature of the contamination has not been confirmed. Authorities are asking anyone who ate at the restaurant between March 26 and April 23, 2024, and later became ill to contact the police. Hanson has been charged through the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday. The exact charges against him remain accusations at this time.
