Lawrence, Kansas – Larry Wayne Thompson, a beloved member of the Lawrence community, passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 57. Born in Greensburg, Kansas, Larry was a devoted husband to his wife Tricia and a loving father to his children Brooke and Cody. Larry was known for his kind heart, contagious laughter, and passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at Velocity Church in Lawrence on January 25th, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support the family during this difficult time. Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Lawrence Chapel Oaks Cremation & Funeral Services is assisting the family during this time. Online condolences can be made on their website. Larry’s legacy of love, kindness, and strength will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
